The Equipment Operator safely and efficiently moves freight, stock or other materials throughout the plant to designated areas. Is responsible for material input into balers and processing equipment.

Direct Hire position$19.00 /annuallyFull Time work availableWeekend work requiredVarious shifts available (Monday through Friday)Identify and transport requested materials to and from various locations by forklift, skid steer or loader in a safe and timely mannerComplete and maintain necessary paperwork pertinent to the assigned departmentMaintain a clean and organized working environmentPerform physical duties that are associated with the operation of equipmentPerform daily preventative maintenance on mobile equipment, as requiredFollow dress code and ensure proper PPE is worn at all timesMake decisions, solve problems, and handle high stress situations calmly and safelyFollow direction of the Operations Lead with regards to daily production and activities to complete the jobWork independently in the absence of direct supervisionEquipment Operator Qualifications:
Knowledge of Non-Ferrous and Ferrous metalsForklift experience requiredComputer experience preferredExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProblem solving skillsHigh school diploma or GED preferredWalk, sit, stand, stoop for long periods of timeAbility to climb in/on mobile equipmentAbility to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basisExposure to physical operations in scrap recycling facilities, including walking/climbing in active industrial yards with uneven surfaces in inclement weatherApplicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
