Your Opportunity:

Taylor Print & Visual Impressions, a Taylor Corporation company, is looking for an Equipment Operator (Cutter/Folder/Stitcher Operator) to be responsible for performing all stitching and folding tasks involved in the production of Taylor Print & Visual Impressions (TPVI) products.  This includes set-up, operation, and tear down of folding equipment. Join the team in Bloomington, IL!

Your Shift:

1st Shift, Monday – Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

Your Responsibilities:

Set up folding equipment to automatically fold, slit, and/or score printed sheets into signatures for bindingRead job ticket to ensure equipment is set up according to specifications and all required work is performed on each jobFold finish the product according to job ticket instructionsRead and interpret information from the bindery paperwork; planning sheets, layouts, dylux, and job ticketComplete tasks as directed by production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products to customersUtilize instructions and pre-established process and quality guidelines to perform the functions of the jobExamine / adjust finished products for quality assuranceReport defective materials or questionable quality issues to the department Supervisor or Lead

You Must Have:

High School diploma or the equivalentMust be at least 18 years of ageBasic bindery knowledge and skills to operate bindery equipmentAbility to read and interpret simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos and follow directionsAbility to perform basic math calculationsUse basic handheld tools

Requirements Within This Position:

Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understandRegularly required to remain in a stationary positionConstantly operates machinery and handles products including print materialsFrequently required to move inside the facilityRegularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)

We Would Also Prefer:

High mechanical aptitudePrevious experience operating folding equipment

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $16 – 17.50. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package for employee.
