Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is seeking an Equipment Operator who is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment machinery while ensuring efficiency and adherence to safety standards. You will play a crucial role in training team members, managing daily operations, and contributing to production goals.

Your Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor complex packaging machinery, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to production schedulesConduct thorough inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment to identify potential issues before they impact productionTroubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtimeTrain and mentor new and existing employees on machinery operation, safety protocols, best practices, and quality expectationsDelegate tasks effectively to enhance team productivity and maintain a smooth workflowServe as a positive role model, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountabilityProvide regular updates to the Production Supervisor on equipment status, production metrics, and any issues encounteresMaintain accurate and detailed records related to equipment performance, production output, and maintenance activitiesEnsure compliance with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT, and environmental regulationsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all departmental policies and proceduresUtilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) consistently and correctlyMaintain accurate data entry for time keeping, job costing, and MRP job trackingAbility to setup of equipment for new products and complex projectsMaterials management – request materials required to maintain productivity

Requirements within this position:

Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understandRegularly required to remain in a stationary positionConstantly operators machinery and handles products including print materialsFrequently required to move inside the facilityRegularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull, and/or carry)

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $17.00 – 21.00. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package for employee.
