Equipment Production Manager

This role champions organizational culture and employee development while driving operational excellence in safety, quality, scheduling, attendance, and process improvement. + The successful applicant will oversee the assembly team’s daily work assignments, production quality, while driving continuous improvement and safety excellence through coaching of technical, behavioral, and housekeeping competencies to deliver high quality products + Identify, support, and develop talent to maximize individual, team and organizational effectiveness in meeting company goals. This includes selecting and on-boarding talent, communicating effectively to foster a culture of engagement, cascading vision, creating goal alignment; and coaching through feedback, development planning and performance management. + Manage capacity requirements and efficiencies with an emphasis on improving methods and quality while reducing costs and operating safely. Ensures quality processes will be consistently employed at the production cells. + Maintain focus on continuous improvement by applying 80/20, PLS, and USa principles/techniques. + Perform duties in a self-directed team environment that encourages strategic change management and innovative thought processes. Ensure high levels of communication between all functions at facility. + Promote safety culture by engaging self and employees in reporting safety hazards and by suggesting and implementing preventive and corrective measures + Additional responsibilities as assigned. **Qualifications** + High school degree or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in in business administration, operations management, engineering, or related field strongly preferred + 5+ years operations experience in a fast-paced, high volume manufacturing environment with 3+ years direct leadership experience in an empowered team environment + Exceptional leadership skills, including collaboration, problem-solving, employee engagement/motivation, conflict resolution and delegation + Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills + Ability to demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset + Proficiency in MS Office Suite and project management + Previous ERP experience preferred + Travel 10% **Additional Information** ITW is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
