Equipment Project Manager - Dredging

Job Description: 

The Equipment Manager manages daily operations for the equipment procurement, inventory management and maintenance function.

 

Essential Job Functions: 

Manage the procurement, installation, and commissioning of dredging equipment for capital and maintenance dredging projects Develop and implement project plans and schedules Oversee the work of contractors and suppliers Monitor and report on project progress and budget Tracks the records, licenses, inspections, warranties and service agreements for dredging equipment and tools Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards Identify and evaluate new dredging technologies Recommend dredging equipment for specific projects Conduct training on dredging equipment operation and maintenance Identify Safety hazards and implement engineered solutions

 

 Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or a related field  5 + years of experience in dredging equipment project management Strong knowledge of dredging equipment and operations Excellent project management and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team

 

Certifications/Licenses: 

Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record

Physical Requirements:

Ability to navigate project sites, which may include walking, climbing, and/or bending 

Ability to remain stationary in seated position for long periods of time  

Ability to navigate around office to use equipment as needed  

Light lifting (up to 15 lbs.) as needed
