Equipment Supervisor

The Equipment Supervisor for Facilities is responsible for providing guidance and leadership to the Equipment Room Technicians in completing duties and responsibilities set forth by the department. The Equipment Supervisor is responsible for the storing, inventorying, and maintaining of numerous Facilities supply cages. The Equipment Supervisor will ensure that inventory, supplies, and equipment are readily available and in good working order at all times.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Guides, prioritizes and assigns Equipment Room Technicians daily, weekly, and long-term tasks and projects. Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures. Maintain an updated log and tracking system of all department assets and equipment. Plans layout of department storage cages considering usage and size of items stored. Maintains an updated inventory log on all supplies and tools to include par levels and usage and completes physical inventory on the first of every month for all products stored throughout the facility. Assists the department management with evaluating and selecting equipment to meet department needs and ensures that all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated. Coordinates the preventative maintenance and repairs on all department equipment, and tracks costs. Process requisitions to ensure proper inventory levels in tool rooms and supply cages. Develops and implements a plan to meet department goals and objectives. Interfaces with the department safety team to ensure that all safety procedures are implemented to provide a safe work environment for all employees. Ensures all incoming shipments are promptly received and stored properly. Ensures adequate stock on hand for designated inventory based on predetermined stock levels; communicates changes in turnover to department. Provides insight to management on actual spend and recommends tools, equipment, and supplies for purchase and budget. Performs other duties as needed to support the efficient operation of the department. Supervisory Responsibilities

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education/Experience/Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Some completed college units in job related field preferred. Minimum of three (3) years, directly related experience in a warehouse environment required. Minimum one (1) year of Supervisory experience preferred. Must possess intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and internet research methodology. Able to clearly present information through the written reports and presentations. Possess excellent and visible organizational skills and demonstrate the ability to work on multiple projects in an effective manner and under deadline pressure. Demonstrated maturity and poise; ability to employ perfect discretion in sensitive situations. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Certificates/Licenses/Registrations At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license. A qualified candidate/employee must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the company’s insurance carrier. Must be certified to operate warehouse equipment such as a forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, order picker, etc. Forklift training and certification can be provided by SMC.
