Program Summary
The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned, coordinated, and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces.Job Summary
Supervises and coordinates activities of mechanics who are performing automotive mechanic duties incident to inspection, all levels of maintenance, and repair of motor transport vehicles. Supervises and coordinates activities of Motor Transport mechanics engaged in repairing, adjusting, servicing, and storing motor vehicles. Responsible for equipment readiness, Monitors the performance of data personnel (GCSS-MC) duties within the Commodities such as data input to Service Requests, Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) Table for the PM Scheduler, debriefing material, standardization of vehicle record folders. Review operational reports to determine requirements and makes recommendations to management that will improve overall efficiency. Through analytical reports pulled daily, ensures all completed work is in compliance with specifications and time schedules. Provides the formulation of administrative and operational policies and procedures and ensures compliance with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules and government regulations. Provides technical guidance/assistance, training and makes decisions where written guidelines are not available. Plans and manages human resource activities within assigned area of responsibility, and within an organized labor-union environment. Assist in recruiting and hiring employees. Supervises direct reports. Maintains established performance objectives/goals. Assist in monitoring employee progress against goals. Maintains MPF ISO policies and procedures and ensures on-going compliance with such. Performs other related duties as assigned, ability to deploy as needed to support operations COUNS as well as O-COUNS.
Roles and Responsibilities
Oversee maintenance operations for all commodities focusing on internal/external quality defects found.Conducts reconciliations with Supply and the CommoditiesAssist in maintaining ISO Procedures and Work InstructionsReview and reconcile internal required publications for the Commodity.Ability to extract the following reports from the L: Drive (MMR) and GCSS – Perpetual, Mod’s, CAL, SR’s by Ship and PM Scheduler both Vehicle and Organic.Working knowledge of Databases and Excel (Pivot tables)Responds to IQS NCR’s in support of Maintenance OperationsUnderstanding of all Maintenance related reports – Who to see – How to correct the problem.Basic Qualifications
B.S. degree in related discipline. In lieu of a degree, a combination of college credits, other formalized training or education, and directly related work experience may be considered.Six years of directly related work experience including (2) years supervisory experience in a maintenance environment.Ability to review and apply technical specifications and requirements.Ability to analyze GCSS-MC reports to determine methods of improvement.Have a current passportPreferred Qualifications
