While you’re busy impacting the healthcare industry, we’ll take care of you with benefits that may include health/dental/vision, FSA, matching retirement plans, paid vacation, adoption assistance, annual bonus eligibility, and more! **Responsibilities** **JOB SUMMARY** Performs various duties, under oversight of the Manager of Respiratory Care and with the guidance of licensed Respiratory Care Practitioners to prepare, transport, set up and conduct quality checks of Cardiopulmonary Services equipment in routine situations. Incumbents also set up patients for various tests, perform routine electrocardiograms, enter patient data in computer systems, orders/stocks equipment and supplies and incidental clerical support tasks as assigned. Work is conducted in accordance with established CHI-FH procedures, safety and risk management standards, and guidelines for response to emergency situations. **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:** + Assembles, cleans, processes and sets up all respiratory therapy equipment in accordance with current procedures. + Makes daily rounds to assigned areas to ensure adequate stock levels are available at all department equipment stations; orders/stocks equipment and supplies as needed to maintain par levels and special needs of assigned areas. + Sets up patients for diagnostic tests including electrocardiograms (EKGs) that are evaluated by appropriate licensed practitioner, as required. Performs EKG’s, records critical values and reports findings to a licensed practitioner. + Enters and maintains patient billing records in computer systems. + Performs general clerical support duties such as answering phones, making appointments. + Cultural Sensitivity and Competence: Demonstrates proper use of communication tools/materials for effective communication and understands how the culture(s) of patient populations can affect communication, collaboration and the provision of care, treatment and services. Patient Population Served: Demonstrates knowledge and proper skills associated with the department’s defined specific populations served. + Performs related duties as required. **Qualifications** **Education/Work Experience Requirements** Six months of related work experience, preferably in a hospital setting that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities. Training, coursework and/or experience in medical equipment processing or electrocardiograms (ECG) are preferred. **Licensure/Certification** + EKG/ECG Certification, National Health Career Association, must be obtained within three months of hire and/or transfer into the position. + Current healthcare provider BLS Certification required. **Pay Range** $18.70 - $26.82 /hour We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
