What You’ll Do – This intermediate level technician performs semi-routine preventive maintenance activities in strict adherence to respective procedures on all cross-functional company equipment to ensure smooth and reliable operation of equipment that supports the development and manufacturing of neuro-interventional medical devices. This position troubleshoots equipment issues to identify occasional deviation from established guidelines, and escalate to more senior technicians, engineering staff or supervisor when necessary. This role may qualify new and existing equipment at appropriate level when required.
+ Ensure equipment maintenance and calibration is performed on time as required by established procedures and support verification/validation activities for new equipment on as-needed basis.
+ Proactively address problems using the appropriate troubleshooting and repair techniques.
+ Notify responsible personnel/user of upcoming calibration and maintenance due dates.
+ Perform installation qualification activates on new equipment and measure and record data associated with operating the equipment.
+ Thoroughly document repairs and appropriate adjustments made to all equipment. Assess equipment spare part inventory levels on a specific frequency and ensure appropriate levels of stock are maintained. Order and install replacement parts and/or equipment.
+ Contact calibration and maintenance service providers and initiate purchase orders for the service.
+ Coordinate shipment or pick-up of equipment to service providers for calibration or maintenance.
+ Verify and/or create calibration and maintenance reports on a regular cadence.
+ Initiate Nonconformance Report if equipment is found to be out of tolerance during calibration or any time during use.
+ Arrange pick-up and delivery of calibrated equipment to and from responsible personnel/user.
+ Maintain workspace and equipment cleanliness.
+ Work collaboratively but act autonomously to complete assigned tasks.
+ Asses the efficiency of current procedures and identify areas for improvements to drive efficiency.
+ Participate in manufacturing team meetings to ensure communication between members.
What You’ll Bring – minimum requirements for this role:
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience; or combination of education/training and experience.
• Knowledge of manufacturing equipment maintenance, or desire to learn.
• AA degree, or technical/trade training with experience in the medical device industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of and exposure to product manufacturing, testing, and data collection.
• Familiar with catheter manufacturing equipment.
• Should possess strong math skills.
• Familiar with GMP, GDP procedures and requirements.
• Previous experience with metrology.
• Ability to understand and interpret tolerances.
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills, effective interaction with Operations and other departments
• Demonstrated organizational skills with ability to prioritize activities/workloads in a fast-paced environment, and take initiative, and work independently within established procedures.

Salary Range: $25.00-27.50/hr
