Jefferies is seeking DevOps Engineer for Equity CASH, Electronic Trading and Derivative application spanning multiple asset classes. Responsibilities include developing Unit Testing, DevOps engineering methodology and automating integration and regression test cycles for the in-house and vendor-based Equity products.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ability to work with development team leaders and DevOps engineers to develop a priority list of manual test cases where targeted automation would most benefit the QE(Quality Engineering) Process by allowing more focus on Unit Testing development and automated integration and regression with DevOps methodology. Ability to understand current code base (Java) and coming up with hooks for developing Unit testing framework with Agile methodology. Ability to develop Automated testing tools for use by the QE Team in a standardized approach to minimize ongoing support once released. Provide Automation support and training to other Team mates to expand Team’s ability to develop Automated testing Suites. Analyse application requirements and Design & Execute Test scenarios and UAT Test cases and provides feedback on functional documentation. Ability to persuade and influence others at all levels in the organization to ensure deliverables are met. Ability to work with colleagues around the world. Create and execute test plans and testing strategies.Desired Experience/ Skills:
Strong experience automating manual test cases for Java applications. Strong experience in Windows and Linux/Unix services. Strong experience in scripting language like Power shell, Python and SQL. Hands on experience in working on tools like JIRA, and Test Management tools like QTest. Strong experience in Devops integration tools such as Bamboo, J-Frog, Jenkins, Bit Bucket, Kubernetes, FDD, BDD, TDD test frameworks Experience and in-depth understanding of the Software Testing principles. Experience with FIX protocol and messaging platform like MQ/Kafka. Good knowledge of SDLC & QE processes. Strong Domain skills - Must have working experience in Capital Markets across modules and instruments especially – CASH, ETS, Bonds, Options, Futures, Swaps products. Experience in testing BFSI (Banking and Financial Industry) Domain applications with a proper understanding of the Trade Lifecycle. Excellent communications and time management skills. A committed team player.The Salary Range for this position is $150,000-$225,000.
The salary offered will take into consideration an individual’s experience level and qualifications.
