Equity Release Financial Reporting Manager
Location: York or Bristol based
Salary: circa £50,000 – £60,000
This is a great role for a Financial Reporting Manager to join the Equity Release financial reporting team. This team are responsible for preparing financial reporting for regulators, external investors, statutory financial reporting, and submission into the Aviva Group plc reported results. This role allows for full oversight and ownership of two Aviva entities, whilst also engaging in wider projects and external investor reporting.
A bit about the job:
The role sits within the IWR (Insurance, Wealth, and Retirement) Chief Accounting Officer team. Key deliverables for the role include:
Quarterly reporting of the IFRS and SII results, regulatory reporting to the FCA and reporting to external investors of external securitisation vehiclesLeading the financial reporting of equity release securitisations and ensuring related contractual requirements are managed accordinglyHigh-quality outputs with supporting analysis to identify underlying drivers and offer business insight.Relationship management with key stakeholders across finance, operations, the securitisation team and external third-party funders.A drive for continuous improvements, to bring process efficiency, embracing and adopting new technologies and an ongoing drive for optimisation, whilst always maintaining the aim of safeguarding both customer and shareholder interests.This role allows for the benefits of a large organisation whilst maintaining full ownership of the reporting for individual entities.Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Qualified accountant with experience of technical financial reporting and experience of equity release mortgages and securitisations (desirable)Pro-active drive to identify and deliver improvements to processes through experience in using the latest technology and software solutions.Data analysis skills with proficiency with large data setsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with other areas of the business.What you’ll get for this role:
