GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
This position is responsible for providing Employee Relations support, verbal and written, to various levels of the organization and across the enterprise. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: performing administrative and employee relations functions, maintain data and reporting in various operating systems. This position must be able to collaborate with team members, management, and stakeholders, identify priorities and deadlines, carry out defined expectations and tasks, communicate progress and information to stakeholders and management, be able to adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback as well as remain abreast of federal, state, and local laws.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer routine HR questions while maintaining consistency and compliance with federal & state laws and company policies and procedures.
Assists with the coordinating and collecting of on-boarding and recurring employment records company wide.
Coordinates responses to unemployment claims, employment discrimination, EEOC charges, Wage/Hours claims and/or other legal claims. Respond to all requests for employee information by providing documentation as requested.
Enter data into the HR system to track all employee information changes and/or updates. Ensure that organization remains compliant with all governmental systems including E-Verify.
Track HR workflows to ensure timely approvals and follow up with management as needed to address any delays.
Provide general support to assist in issue resolution where applicable.
Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization and practices
Assist in the investigation and resolution of legal complaints by drafting documentation to support Legal cases.
Provide requested information for legal counsel and corporate insurance
Provide support to Employee Relations and Legal Teams as needed.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Must be self-driven and motivated
Must have excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Education and Experience:
Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines and practices, and federal and state employment laws.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
