The Emergency Department Technician/Phlebotomist will provide clerical and clinical support to the Emergency Department. The Emergency Department Technician will be key in maintaining quality customer service standards and assisting in the flow of information within the department. A strong understanding of the Electronic Health Record of both the Lab systems and the Emergency Department system, as well Unit operations be key.Also, cross training as a secretary is required.Performs venipunctures, heelsticks, and fingersticks to obtain blood samples for testing purposes. Properly identifies patients and follows procedures for collection of specimens. Performs other related functions as assigned including EKG acquistions.
