We are looking for a skilled LARS Engineer with a strong background in Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) or robotics to join our innovative team.

As LARS Engineer, you play a pivotal role in the design of Launch and Recovery Systems (LARS) to be used for our Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USV).
Day-to-day, your role requires technical skills and an understanding of best practices, but also the pursuit of understanding our client’s needs. You will travel offshore or abroad on occasion, including supplier and build site visits.

Your role
You develop concept solutions for Launch and Recovery and related systems on an uncrewed vessel that are fit for purpose, robust, reliable and efficient;
You make functional and technical specification documents for capabilities and integration of the systems in the USV and work with subcontractors to optimize, design, build and test the solutions;
You assume a proactive role in promoting and improving safety in the workplace, on-site, and on board the USV, as well as identifying and reporting opportunities for further innovation, improvement, and development of the USV;
You guide the initial delivery of our new LARS products but also maintain close contact with operations teams after delivery to understand performance metrics and continuous improvements.
Your track record
You have a MSc. or BSc. degree in an industry-associated engineering discipline, preferably in mechanical engineering or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience;
It is strongly desired to have a background in LARS operational and design with relation to ROV systems, or equivalent subsea equipment operated offshore;
You have a working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and control systems;
Experience with AutoCAD and/or other (3D) drawing software is considered an advantage. Also working knowledge of vessel operations in an offshore environment is considered an advantage;
Excellent communication skills in English, encompassing both verbal and written proficiency.
