You will manage our day-to-day operations of both; a) the outsourced hardware Platform as a Service (PaaS) process, and b) internal activities. Through this management, you will ensure system and process uptime, and deliver and drive efficiencies. Our new ERP Operations Technician will drive efficiencies related to business/internal processes, interfaces, reports, back ups, disaster recovery, and hardware maintenance cycles. A typical day might include: Incident management – working with wider, global teams on timely, efficient, and effective resolution. Partnering with team members, and functional/business subject matter experts in identifying process challenges, creating and owning process documentation, and driving improvements and efficiencies. Overseeing, maintaining, and supporting technical processes, partnering with team members and third party vendors. Project management – owning internal initiatives such as purging/housekeeping, and system and process future proofing. We’re looking for someone with: Solid experience with the RPG programming language including experience in a support and dev environment. Knowledge of iSeries hardware and IBMi operating system. Knowledge and experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Previous experience in business process improvement or re-engineering (including creating process, systems and data flow visuals and written documentation). Some project management experience.
