The Operations Manager is responsible for providing the full range of management, and supervision required for the successful performance, and completion of projects.
Directly responsible for the supervision of staff and performance of daily operations. Provide positive leadership. Monitoring and tracking employee attendance and performance. Complete disciplinary actions when required. Enforces all company safety policies and procedures. Identify and develop key talent and appropriately manage underperformers to ensure success of all individuals in the department. Communicates to employees the company’s goals and objectives. Responsible to manage workload within operations. Can directly make operational adjustments as needed. Responsible for reviewing and approving SDS’s for call center staff for incidentals and incidentals with reporting. Responsible for the completion of regulatory reporting on shift. Provides day-to-day environmental support to open projects to ensure, compliance with environmental policies, requirements, and procedures. Serves as a technical supervisor on matters relating to environmental spills. Responsible for oversite of projects assigned to project specialist, including all phases of spill response, working directly with clients to ensure a timely successful spill cleanup, regulatory compliance, client satisfaction with cost effectiveness in mind. Accountable for project managers working within project’s detailed scope-of-work to maintain strict compliance with contract documents, project schedules, and corporate policies and procedures. Oversees contractors in field to determine sources and methods of controlling pollutants in air, water, and soil. Accurately log information from client interactions into ALERT systems; update in a timely and accurate manner so that clients can track services, inquiries, and resolution. Dispatching of contractor for excavation, transportation, and disposal of products. Responsible for providing employee training and development. Providing and maintaining excellent customer service and satisfaction. QA/ QC on all ongoing projects. Initial and post of Alerts in system. Ensure that all SOP and client special instruction are performed and are compliant. Communicate effectively to contractors, clients, regulatory officials, etc.…, through both written and verbal communication Return all internal and external calls, emails, and facsimiles in a timely manner to ensure that customers’ concerns are understood, addressed, and resolved in an efficient and complete manner as possible. Maintains professional competency in all aspects of the job. May serve on the emergency operations center, as assigned. Perform other job-related duties as required.
