Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Business Analyst to join EY GDS ES Finance Reporting and Data Analytics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in financial principles, technical expertise in SQL and Power BI, and exceptional communication and documentation skills. The Business Analyst will be responsible for translating business needs into actionable data-driven insights and reports, enabling informed decision-making. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and objectives, ensuring alignment with business strategies. Ability to comprehend the business needs and translate into technical requirements for Power BI developers. Interact with Alliance stakeholders to understand business requirements, document BRD and work with developers. Validate data accuracy and integrity by performing thorough data analysis and quality assurance checks. Provide technical support and training to end-users on Power BI functionalities and share best practices. Contribute to creating a clean and aesthetic Power BI UI and give inputs around the most appropriate visual to use. Document technical specifications, data models, data flow diagram and report design processes to ensure clarity and continuity. Participate in the ongoing development and refinement of reporting standards and practices. Liaise between the finance function and Power BI developers to ensure seamless integration of financial data into technical reporting solutions. Stay current with the latest trends and developments in business intelligence, data analytics, and related technologies. Contribute to the team's efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

 

Requirements:

Proficient in data integration, governance, and streamlining data processes. Expertise in understanding DAX formulas and structuring multidimensional datasets. Solid grasp of SQL and the foundational principles of data warehousing. Skilled in analytical reasoning, resolving complex issues, and steering project execution. Strong communicator, adept at leading discussions with key stakeholders. Knowledgeable in financial domain, leveraging advanced analytics Capable of managing a multiple project portfolio with exceptional efficiency. In-depth familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform, including its features, limitations, and associated tools like Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Pages.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in in computer science, information science, finance and data analytics, or related fields. 6 to 8 years of experience in financial reporting and analytics, with 3 to 5+ years of experience as a Power BI, SQL Server. Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Experience with financial modeling and forecasting. Detail-oriented with an unwavering commitment to accuracy and quality. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong documentation skills, with a keen eye for detail and organization. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving common goals.
