ISS STOXX is actively hiring for an ESG Data Analyst - ESG Newsroom
Overview:
E&S Data Stewardship is ISS STOXX data hub, which designs data catalogues and consolidates environmental & social data on companies across major global indices. We are currently seeking an ESG data analyst for our ESG Newsroom unit. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in the media, a solid grounding in ESG, the ability to assess and validate alternative ESG data and to work with our AI/ML and NLP experts on continued enhancements of news capture and indexing.
Responsibilities:
Monitor the press, NGO, and government sources for ESG news and corporate controversies
Identify alternative, non-corporate sources to supplement, complement, and compare corporate ESG data
Contribute to team processes focused on strengthening the ISS ESG Newsroom product offering
Participate in maintaining and developing methodology and processes to capture salient ESG news
Report potential data issues and improvements in the workflow process
Participate in analyzing ESG news data and creating data visualization to support the team’s projects
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (in a relevant field such as Business Analytics, Economics, Journalism, Environmental Science, ESG or Sustainability is desirable); a Master’s degree would be an advantage
0 to 3 years of experience in research, and analytical skills in evaluating ESG data
Excellent command of English
Advanced use of Excel or Power BI
Strong interest in business and finance
Attention to detail, and methodical and thorough approach to work
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work towards deadlines, manage tasks, and prioritise
A desire to show initiative
A drive for constant improvement of processes
