What you will do

As the Global ESG Reporting Lead Analyst, in partnership with the Global ESG Reporting Manager will be responsible for supporting the preparation of the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) disclosures required globally for regulatory purposes, ensuring timeliness, reliability, completeness, and accuracy of data as well as process and controls standardization. This individual will be the ESG reporting software administrator.

Support the development, implementation and maintenance of ESG data management policies, processes, and controls across the organization

Conduct periodic reviews on ESG controls and related operating procedures and asses compliance with policies and regulations

Identify and implement process standardization opportunities to comply with new regulatory reporting requirements including but not limited to the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)

Help maintain a data base with industry trends and best practices related to ESG including the impact to Stryker

ESG reporting software administrator; grants and remove access, ensures metric’s owner and approver is up to date, amongst others

Deliver the necessary training to ensure the processes operate as expected

Prepare and present progress reports on the collection of ESG data and its quality

Engage with Corporate Responsibility, Sustainability, Legal, and Local Finance, amongst others, to support ESG strategy and ensure progress towards its goals

Support Internal and External Audit reviews to ensure ESG disclosures and associated documentation are assurance-ready

Support special projects and perform related work as needed by the organization

What you need

Bachelor’s degree required (e.g., finance, business sustainability, data science, engineering preferred)

4+ years of experience in finance, audit, sustainability, corporate responsibility, or data science (preferably including experience with a Big 4 public accounting firm and additional experience at a global Fortune 500 company)

Professional certification in accounting (CPA or equivalent) highly preferred

Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley Act and/or internal control concepts

System implementation or administration experience preferred

Familiarity with Oracle, SAP, and Workiva preferred

You will need to live within commuting distance to our Flower Mound, TX OR Mahwah, NJ office. You will need to be in the office 2-3 days a week, but you will have the flexibility to work from home on the other days.

Travel Percentage: 20%
