As part of ING’s commitment to sustainable growth, we are building the ESG Operational Readiness Team within the Global COO Risk Services Organization and are seeking a Business Analyst to join us. You will play a crucial part in the team by actively working on ESG programs for the bank and work with domain experts, and implementation teams across different business lines (Wholesale Banking, Business Banking, and Retail Banking) to ESG data delivery, making them ready for reporting.
 

Roles and responsibilities

Oversee data collection activities by collaborating with ESG capability owners across ING to manage the end-to-end data delivery process.

Refine, implement and operationalize the end-to-end ESG data flow in line with QBR demands, including building a DataMart if needed, collecting data, and ensuring its availability for reporting purposes.

Enhance data delivery processes, ensuring the quality, consistency, and accuracy of data.

Refine and implement a global Physical Risk calculation tool for Retail, Wholesale, and Business Banking.

Foster connections among colleagues, topics, and expertise, maintaining continuous communication with all relevant stakeholders.

Key Capabilities/Experience

Ability to collect, process, and analyze large and complex datasets from various sources.

Ability to ensure the accuracy and completeness of ESG data, making it ready for reporting.

Ability to identify more efficient methods for data collection and ingestion.

Ability to translate stakeholder requirements into actionable implementation plans.

Commit to learning new ESG concepts, regulations, and industry best practices in a fast-paced environment.

Desire to build knowledge in credit and ESG rating methodologies.

Ability to work data-driven and provide insights based on relevant ESG indicators, with curiosity and drive to stay updated on sustainability trends.

Self-motivated with a strong focus on action, results, and continuous improvement.

Excel in dynamic environments with strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving abilities.

Genuine team player achieving objectives through close collaboration with people from diverse disciplines and backgrounds.

Exceptional coordination and project management skills.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in related discipline (business, economics, legal, environment and/or social sciences) or Bachelor’s degree with the equivalent, relevant experience.

5+ years work experience and a proven track record as a Business Analyst with Data Implementation experience.

5+ years work experience in the financial sector, in either COO, Tech or a Business function.

Fluent in written and spoken English.
