ESG Principal Sales Specialist

ESG sales embodies FactSet's "workflow selling" approach, providing a wide variety of FactSet solutions to clients.

FactSet's ESG solutions are used by the world's leading Asset Managers, Asset Owners, Hedge Funds, Wealth Managers and Consultants.  The market for ESG is rapidly accelerating as regulations continue to expand globally.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

This position will help to further accelerate sales in the North American market of FactSet products, and provide clients with a holistic solution to support their ESG workflows. With a growing customer and revenue base, FactSet's products are uniquely positioned to take advantage of the explosive growth in the AI, ESG and alternative data. 

Responsibilities

Work with the Senior Director of Sales to map out perspective clients to target and build a pipeline based on overall ESG strategyResponsible for being pro-active to identify unique ESG opportunities to grow the businessPartner with existing Sales Specialists and Generalists to understand upsell opportunities within existing clientsProvide feedback to Strategists and Product Development teams to enhance and improve our productsLeverage your client and industry relationships to identify new business needs and sales opportunitiesDiligently maintain the client- sales cycle and results data that are required to manage the pipeline of sales Deliver presentations and present winning proposalsAct as first point of contact for strategic high potential accountsRepresent FactSet’s ESG business by speaking fluently about all product lines at industry eventsCoordinate trials, negotiate terms, and structure contractsThink strategically to price and close dealsHelp uncover new workflows within clients to monetize contentUtilize and work closely with group resources including Sales Engineering and Support/Implementation.Collaborate with general sales team to build a strategy for Top 30 accounts

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field (advanced degree preferred)9+ years of experience in related fieldStrong understanding of market knowledge (i.e understanding of buy-side research, performance workflows and industry competitors).Extensive sales experience with a focus on financial markets, any ESG a plus, with the ability to consistently exceed individual sales quotaHistory of effective collaboration with Sales, Product Development and Strategy.Willingness to learn new trends and aware of industry changes, desire to self-learn new technologiesHistory of proactively identifying business inefficiencies and taking ownership to deliver solutions.Detail oriented while maintaining vision for the big picture.Ability to make challenging decisions in a changing environment.Ability to work a hybrid schedule from an office in Boston, Chicago, New York City, Norwalk, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Toronto

The budgeted salary range for this position in the State of Connecticut and NYC is $120,000 - $150,000.
