Belmont University
The
eSports Coordinator is a dynamic and integral role dedicated to leading Belmont
University’s brand-new eSports gaming facility. This position is vital in
establishing and enhancing Belmont’s presence in the rapidly growing field of
eSports. The coordinator will play a key role in aligning the facility's
operations with the university's overall goals and strategic priorities,
ensuring the sustainable growth of the eSports program.
Major
Responsibilities:
Operations and Logistics: Oversee the day-to-day
operations and logistics of the eSports facility. This includes
supervising staff, managing equipment inventory, scheduling facility use,
administering special events, and enforcing policies and procedures to
ensure a safe and efficient environment.Staff Management: Hire, train, supervise,
evaluate, and develop eSports Facilities Assistants and Student
Coordinators. Schedule staff to maintain efficient and effective
operations and ensure high standards of performance and customer service.Competition Design: Develop and implement
engaging casual and competitive events, including leagues and tournaments,
in collaboration with intramural sports. Provide Belmont students with a
variety of year-round eSports opportunities.Campus Collaboration: Partner with various campus
departments and student organizations to promote the curricular and
co-curricular use of the eSports facility. Work with Admissions to host
events and tours for prospective students.Technology Management: Troubleshoot basic system
issues related to gaming, audio/visual, and broadcasting technology.
Collaborate with LITS for advanced technical issues and to plan and
implement technology updates, upgrades, and enhancements.Student Support: Advise, coach, and recruit
players for the Belmont eSports Club. Support club competitions by
organizing LAN and online events. Develop communication and marketing
strategies in collaboration with University Marketing and Communications.Program Development: Create and update both
in-person and online programs to foster student development and learning.
Plan and implement summer programs and camps focused on eSports player
development and leadership skills by summer 2027.
