Estate Packing Team Member

You deliver excellent customer service, while safely and efficiently helping our clients downsize (sorting/organizing), relocate and liquidate their homes through estate sales and online auctions.  You adapt to new situations, solve problems effectively, work independently with minimal supervision, and contribute productively to a cohesive team.  Each work day is different and unique…so no monotony here!  You’ll leave a lasting impact on the lives of our clients with every project. We offer flexibility and part-time work with no required or guaranteed hours. This position is perfect for retirees, parents with school-aged kids, college students, and for anyone with an unpredictable schedule.  Work hours are during weekdays with no weekends required.  Starting hourly pay rate will be based on knowledge, skills and abilities, with potential for pay increase commensurate with experience and proficiency.  We believe in promoting from within.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with a team to downsize and relocate clients and liquidate their unneeded items.Organize, pack, unpack, and resettle clients in their homes and in senior living communities.Sort items for recycling, donation, disposal and cleanout.Use hand-held devices to create, photograph, and describe items. Sort, organize, research, label and handle items for resale. Assist estate sale buyers during on-site pickup.Stand for long periods, bend, lift up to 25 pounds, hang items at or above 4 feet, pack/unpack and label boxes, climb stairs. Carry supplies, items, and moving boxes to/from vehicles, within a home or outbuilding.Note that we are not movers!  We use professional movers for furniture and items over 25 pounds.Follow best practices, health and safety requirements and company guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Compassion and respect for clients and their familiesStrong verbal communication skills and English fluencyAbility to complete tasks and work in fast-paced, changing environmentsWillingness to work in cluttered and/or dirty environments. We provide PPE (personal protective equipment) such as work gloves, aprons, masks, etc.Excellent prioritization and organizational skillsPunctual, attentive to detail, and able to make good decisions promptly on behalf of our clientsHave transportation, and smart phone access for scheduling, time keeping and project managementAge 18 years or older with valid driver’s licenseMust undergo pre-employment background check
