Estimate Approver
Job Description An employer is looking for Estimate Approver to start on to join the Centralized Maintenance team. These individuals will be a part of the Centralized Maintenance Team and responsible for coordinating and managing repairing events for tractors, trailers and hostlers. You will be responsible for reviewing 30+ estimates per day that will come from outside maintenance vendors. You will validate that the defect meets the clients wear and tear guidelines, that the solution provided by the maintenance vendor will address the defect and that the price is reasonable. If you identify any repairs or charges that are not reasonable you will request explanation from the vendor and flag for further review before moving to the next estimate. You will not be working with or taking calls from end-customers. This is not a customer service position! You will be reviewing estimates and pictures received from vendors on high dollar repairs that are necessary due to either wear and tear or damage. We are looking for individuals who are driven, have excellent communication skills and are quick learners. In addition, we are looking for individuals who have flexibility with schedules, and must be comfortable working holidays including Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve and New Years Eve. Skills and Requirements High School or Equivalent Diploma  Maintenance experience with trailers and power units/Class 8 Vehicles  Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.  Experience in transportation operations with knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.  Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment, and when given a deadline you know how to motivate yourself and meet it.  Experience with analytical work and using data to provide thought-provoking and workable solutions.  Basic Microsoft excel & Microsoft office skills ASE Automotive Service Excellence certified  Experience working as a pricing analyst or reviewing quotes for a fleet management company null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
