Gilbane is seeking a highly technical and motivated Estimating Manager to join our Federal team, supporting international work. This person will be based out of our Concord office.

As an Estimating Executive, you will supervise a team of Estimators in an effort to price and bid multiple projects. Working with the Chief Estimator, you will work under an experienced professional that will provide you with opportunity to learn the department’s standard operating procedures and build strong relationships with the Preconstruction team. You will have a heavy hand in the coordination and supervision of other Estimators and will price/bid projects that shape your community. ResponsibilitiesAs an Estimating Manager, you will:
Visualize, analyze and communicate project scope of work Coordinate and execute tasks of estimating personnel assigned to a specific estimate Monitor and follow up on staff’s assigned duties Coordinate cost/means and methods with Client and design team and prepare preliminary cost estimates/budgets Work with Design Team to reconcile cost estimates Analyze General Condition costs to determine company overhead Manage Value Engineering Process Provide input for Fee Proposals Prepare all Indirect Costs Review and coordinate project-specific insurance requirements Prepare General Conditions/Site Services Costs Understands all disciplines in estimating Leads staff to assure accuracy in estimating process, procedures and review requirements are met Delivers and presents estimatesAbility to preserve/ reconcile all aspects of the estimate presentation QualificationsEXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
BS or MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management 12-15 years of relevant experience Hard bid, lump sum experience requiredFederal government experience preferredOr equivalent combination of education and experienceSalary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
For Concord, CA, this ranges from $162,900 - $192,500 plus benefits and retirement program.
