Purpose of Role: We are seeking an experienced Estimation & Strategic Sourcing Professional (Wear Solutions, Rubber Lining & Fabrication) to join our team in the East department. You will be responsible for preparing estimates, quotes, developing and confirming scopes of work, tendering for projects and working closely with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.
A key component for this role will be the ability to work with new and existing Fabrication Suppliers. Having an existing network would be extremely beneficial to achieve the most form this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately estimate project tenders and service repair scopes.
Interpret engineering drawings for precise costing.
Collaborate with clients and team members to create estimates and resolve issues.
Develop relationships with key suppliers and strategically source materials to achieve a reduction in cost base
Build and maintain database of material specifications, pricing, distribution sources and manufacturers of raw materials, sub-contractors, etc. in support of new RFQ’s and the division’s revenue and margin goals
Continually improve estimating processes and procedures for increased productivity and accuracy.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
Proven experience in estimation management, preferably in a similar industry.
Trade background in building or fabrication - preferred.
Leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Proficiency in cost estimation and vendor management.
Ability to develop and implement effective systems and processes.
