Estimator
Detail-oriented and analytical professional responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects. Collaborates closely with clients, suppliers, and contractors to assess project requirements, evaluate risks, and develop competitive bids that align with company goals and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
Cultivate and sustain strong working relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.Organize and prepare materials for cost estimation, including proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documentation.Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits (some travel required) to assess site conditions and project scope.Interpret and analyze project drawings and specifications.Conduct comprehensive quantity takeoffs.Determine project requirements, including labor, equipment, materials, and timelines.Calculate project costs by evaluating labor, equipment, materials, and time factors.Develop and submit detailed and accurate project proposals.Lead the handoff process for successful bids.Manage and price change orders effectively.Collect, assess, and maintain historical cost data for future reference.Identify and mitigate project risks in accordance with OSHA regulations and DHG’s Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Program.Support team objectives by contributing to related tasks as needed.Proficient in using HCSS, Primavera, and Microsoft Excel.Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Construction Engineering preferred.Strong organizational and time management abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
