Description We are looking for an Estimator to join our growing team in Kittery, Maine. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in shaping the operations of a small but dynamic company by managing estimation processes and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality construction projects. Responsibilities:
• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects using tools like Bluebeam and Excel.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project budgets and timelines.
• Analyze project requirements and specifications to develop comprehensive estimates.
• Identify potential risks and provide recommendations to mitigate cost overruns.
• Maintain and update estimation records to streamline future project planning.
• Work closely with the procurement team to oversee buying processes and ensure the selection of cost-effective materials.
• Monitor and manage invoicing to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns related to project estimates.
• Contribute to the company’s growth by recommending process improvements and software tools.
• Participate in in-person meetings and interviews with stakeholders to align on project objectives. Requirements • Proven experience as a construction estimator or related role, with a solid understanding of construction processes.
• Proficiency in estimation software such as Bluebeam and Excel, with the ability to learn new tools as needed.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate project needs and develop accurate cost projections.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Familiarity with budgeting and procurement processes in the construction industry.
• Self-motivated and eager to contribute to a growing team environment.
• Prior experience in customer service or client-facing roles is a plus.
