**Salary Range:** $80,000 to $137,000
Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. **THE ESTIMATING TEAM**
Estimating is an essential part of CEI’s sales engine, ensuring that projects are priced properly throughout the bid process. The Estimating group also serves a vital role in CEI’s PM training, teaching estimating skills to future and newly hired project management team members.
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
The Estimator will perform all levels and types of estimating, planning, scheduling, and cost engineering project activities.
+ Collaborate with the estimating team to ensure timely and accurate completion of electrical estimates.
+ Accurately take off all types of construction, including hire-rise, tenant improvement, industrial, underground, special systems, controls etc.
+ Understand contract documents, including drawings, specifications, etc.
+ Understand general electrical design and engineering concepts.
+ Communicate and partner with project managers to ensure a high-quality estimate is delivered on time.
+ Manage quotation process with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure that pricing incorporates all scope items.
**Knowledge:** A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways. This job is the fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position.
**Job Complexity:** Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
**Supervision:** Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
_Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying._
**Education:** High School Diploma or GED required. Some college preferred although not required.
**Licensure/Certifications:** None required.
**Experience:** At least 2-5 years of electrical estimating experience in commercial/industrial/high tech industry. General electrical design and engineering concepts. Ability to lay out branch circuiting, understand contract documents, drawings, and specifications. General knowledge of electrical material costs. Accubid experience desired.
