Utility Services (UTS) a division of Azuria Water Solutions, is seeking an experienced Lead Estimator.
Azuria is a leading worldwide provider of cured-in place pipe (CIPP) and other technologies and services for the rehabilitation of pipeline systems. Azuria’s businesses consist of sewer, drinking water and pipeline rehabilitation and protection. The Company provides cost-effective solutions to remediate operational, health, regulatory and environmental problems resulting from aging and defective pipelines. Azuria’s technologies allow its customers to avoid the extraordinary expense and extreme disruption that can result from traditional "dig and replace" methods.
Responsibilities:
Work directly with the UTS Vice President and other UTS Operational Leaders to oversee all estimating within the UTS platform.Working directly with all UTS estimators, ensure that estimating across the UTS enterprise is consistent and accurate.Ensure that InEight is being used consistently across UTS and that all UTS estimators are trained with all InEight capabilities.Review and advise as needed regarding all potential projects.Maintain an estimating database of history and costs for each entity within UTS.Obtain all required job survey information by visiting the job sites as needed.Meet with sub-contractors and build relationships to ensure success for UTS at the bid table.Qualify sub-contractors with the client (including MWBE requirements, experience, solvency, and quality).Review key projects with UTS Operational Leaders regarding estimated costs vs. actual.Attend Project Review meetings.Lead the bid review process.Qualifications:
Degree in Construction Management or Engineering required.At least 5 years of construction estimating experience ideally with underground utility and/or CIPP preferred.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret Plans and specifications and understand the customers’ requirements.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Must have strong communication skills with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain relationships.Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment without day-to-day guidance.
