Role Overview:

On their behalf, Summit Search Group is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Estimator to join their team in Blumenort, Manitoba – 30-minutes east of Winnipeg. Reporting to the Senior Estimator, the Estimator will play a pivotal role in our client’s project planning and execution processes. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze project requirements, prepare accurate cost estimates, and develop budgets that align with the company’s financial goals.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of construction methodologies, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Identifies and computes costs for labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information. Prepares and presents specifications Provide cost/price information to relevant parties to maintain costs and price in systems. Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications.

Qualifications:

2+ years experience working in an administrative role in the construction industry. Strong mathematical orientation. Ability to read an interpret blueprints and specifications. Excellent organizational, time management and prioritizing skills. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
