Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Estimator in Aurora, Illinois. This role primarily involves 3D modeling, blueprint reading, and interpretation for both fabricated and machined products. The successful candidate will be proficient in using software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD, and have a sound knowledge of raw material grades. Experience with an ERP system would be beneficial. Responsibilities: • Utilize 3D modeling tools like SolidWorks and AutoCAD to estimate costs • Read and interpret blueprints of fabricated and machined products • Maintain a thorough understanding of different raw material grades in sheet, bar, and structural material forms • Leverage your computer literacy to efficiently handle tasks • Apply fabrication and machining skills where required • Use Microsoft Excel for data organization and analysis • Employ your skills as a Lead Estimator to guide the estimation process • Manage and update customer credit records • Resolve customer inquiries and monitor customer accounts. The salary range for this position is $75,000-$85,000 and it comes with benefits, including medical, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance. Requirements • Proven experience as a Lead Estimator in a relevant industry • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to create, manage and analyze data efficiently • Demonstrated experience with AutoCAD or similar design software • Strong mathematical and analytical skills for accurate estimations • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting estimations and negotiating contracts • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and precision • Familiarity with industry regulations, standards, and best practices • Strong problem-solving skills to resolve estimation and project-related issues • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field is preferred.
