Job Description A client of Insight Global is seeking to add an Estimator with a focus in electrical construction projects to their team in the Kansas City, MO area. The Estimator will prepare various estimates and proposals specifically for electrical construction projects. Additional responsibilities include: Assemble material and labor costs for clients and proposals for construction projects Conduct subcontractor solicitation and pre-qualification tasks Analyze and insert specialty and standard equipment and material pricing into the estimate Confirm the estimate meets the schedule protocol and specifications of scope Evaluate and condition subcontractor and supplier quotes Research cost history and update data bases accordingly Provide preliminary pricing for indirect and general conditions Review specialty and standard equipment pricing Review plans and specifications for completion of estimates Responsible for the accuracy and validity of estimate clarifications and assumptions Analyze and price value engineering for submission We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Construction, or years of experience equivalent to degree. 5yrs+ experience as an estimator in electrical construction (ideally projects $2M-$80M) Managing 1 bid at a time and updating existing bids Experience running the RFP process from start to finish.
