Job Title: Estimator
Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for estimating commercial and industrial projects, accumulating labor history, and maintaining updated labor data sheets. This role involves preparing pricing for internal labor, materials, and outsourced job costs, as well as obtaining price quotes from approved vendors.

ResponsibilitiesAccumulate labor history and maintain updated labor data sheets based on historical information.Identify and gather information on labor, material, and time by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.Prepare pricing to include internal labor, materials, and other outsourced job costs.Obtain price quotes from approved outside vendors.Complete timely and accurate estimates from floor plans, sketches, models, renderings, and descriptions.Maintain documentation to support the projected cost of the project.Maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.Prepare commercial bid procedures for design-build and bid-spec projects.Review drawings, specifications, and owner requirements with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Salesmen.Prepare general conditions cost and coordinate with Project Managers to monitor all general conditions costs.Assist in preparing cover letters and bid proposals, including cost breakdowns, clarifications, scope, and exclusions.Respond to all subcontractor inquiries.Participate in start-up and closeout meetings.Assist Project Managers with scopes of work and pricing of owner and subcontract change orders.Essential SkillsConstruction estimatingBlueprint readingCommercial constructionPreconstructionEstimationAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's or Associate's Degree in Construction Management or equivalent years' experience3+ years of commercial or industrial estimating experienceWork Environment

On-site with individual offices. The majority of projects are within NE Wisconsin, offering a variety of work experiences.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
