Estimators are responsible for accurately measuring and estimating every material that will go into building each floor plan and creating purchase orders in our database. Prior estimating experience and knowledge of construction or blueprints is beneficial.

Job Responsibilities:

Estimate new residential construction floor plans and elevations including all plan optionsCreate plan cutsheets – flooring and raftersProcess plan changes and takeoff changesOn-site field visits to validate take-offsInteract directly with builders, internal sales personnel and suppliersAssist with special projects as needed by the Estimating Team
QualificationsSome estimating experience is preferredWill also consider entry-level candidates with degree or equivalent work experience in construction management or a related fieldA self-starter who is able to work independently and productively, prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, detail oriented and able to handle deadlinesExperience with JDEdwards and Autodesk Design Review is a plusAble to learn new technology easily. An understanding of computer science or how systems think is beneficial.Must be proficient utilizing Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, OutlookBe able to read and understand blueprintsExtremely strong organizational skillsStrong team player ethic and a positive attitude with the ability to be flexible and switch priorities easilyEager to take on challenges and learn new things
