Estimator/Operations Manager
60000-80000 per year | Austin, TX, USA | Base + Bonus | Vertical | Full Time Fuel Quality Estimator / Operations Manager Tanknology Location: WFH but prefer to reside in Austin, TX area for occasional onsite meetings. Compensation: $60,000 to $80,000 per year About Us Tanknology is a leader in petroleum and EV services, powering progress across the US. We're looking for a skilled Estimator ready to fuel their career with our innovative and growing team. Your Role As an Estimator/Operations Manager, you'll play a critical role in accurately assessing project needs, collaborating with business development, project managers, and technicians to prepare quotes and manage project scope, cost, and timing. Responsibilities include: + Preparing detailed bid/quote estimates, identifying labor and material costs/needs, and establishing labor hour requirements across project phases. + Researching blueprints, site plans, equipment specs, and related documents, working closely with the team to verify site plans and reporting + Sourcing subcontractors when necessary, obtaining current quotations, and developing a preferred list of materials and equipment for various projects. + Gathering input from sales, construction, and operations to create accurate estimates and align with schedules and project backlog. + Maintain proper inventory levels of required supplies as well as purchase and reconcile replacement inventory. + Scheduling multiple crews of technicians up-to 2 months in advance and track ongoing progress of projects in order to adapt to unforeseen issues. Your Skills & Qualifications + Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and professional skills. + Mobility: Willingness to travel for bids and customer meetings/demonstrations, as well as training and technician development. + Technical Proficiency: Experience with estimating software and familiarity with SAP is preferred. + Construction & Technical Expertise: Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications. + Education & Compliance: High school diploma or GED, valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and ability to pass pre-employment onboarding, including drug and background checks.
