Job Summary

This is an on-site position that will support our Millstone Powerstation in Waterford, CT. 

The position is responsible for various technical and administrative duties necessary to support the ETFO field organization in the maintenance, installation and corrective actions associated with Dominion's Transmission, Distribution and Generating network. Under direct supervision from Tech/Senior/Lead technician, duties to be performed include, but not limited to:

Assist with commissioning new primary equipment and/or performing in-service readings. Assist with moderate/advanced electromechanical relay testing and substation equipment testing. Assist with microprocessor relay non-automated testing. Completion of Asset Management related tasks such as Asset Management Questions, Whitesheet updates, and control print markups. Communicating with other crafts or departments during construction activities. Creation of cable pull schedules and project schedules. Operates company vehicles as required to support duties. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

2+ years of basic knowledge of electrical and electronic theory experience preferred. Proficient print reading skills. Proficient understanding of protection and control drawings. Proficient understanding of test equipment used for construction, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities. Proficient understanding of substation fundamentals and corporate safety expectations. Proficient understanding of departmental expectations regarding departmental computer usage. Proficient understanding of departmental physical and cyber security policies. Proficient understanding of available Human Performance tools and their functions. Proficient understanding of departmental software used for asset management, record keeping, and testing. Effective computer skills with software such as Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint. Due to equipment weight limits, individuals in this role have a weight restriction of 290 pounds. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must live within a reasonable travel range (1 hour) of the service territory. Education Requirements

Due to after-hours response (call-out), individuals must live approximately 1 hour from designated work location.
