Performs diverse and complex assignments in support of GE HealthCare product development and manufacturing of digital x-ray detectors.  Assignments may include but are not limited to: set up and running of semiconductor wet and dry etch manufacturing equipment for production and performing routine maintenance.

This role is for 2nd shift, 2:00pm- 10:30pm and qualifies for a 10% shift differential.

GE HealthCare North Greenbush produces flexible printed circuits and digital X-ray detectors for mammography, vascular, and industrial applications. The GE HealthCare digital flat-panel detectors are a critical component of X-ray systems and are designed to provide outstanding image quality and efficiency.

Key responsibilities/essential functions include:

Performs work from detailed instructions and maintains daily production output with accurate records of the work performed and other records as may be required by management.As required, with guidance, provide data for formal reports (oral and written) of the work.  Also, prepare and submit, with guidance, appropriate disclosure letters of patentable ideas when a contribution has been made and evaluated by the supervisor.Limited decision making, related to the scope of the specific task with guidance.Mainly performing production work and may be dependent upon others for non-standard work. Slightly more than minimum flexibility and adaptability expected.Complies with all EHS, Training and Quality procedures and policiesUnder supervision, performs routine experiments.  Adjust variables as directed and take specified data.From detailed instructions, set up or modify equipment, calibrate, perform maintenance and operate equipment (mainly routine tests & manufacturing operations).Under supervision, performs routine troubleshooting of process or equipment.  Brings equipment irregularities to the attention of the supervisor.Use Lean tools to improve established processes and metrics in daily work.  Participates in Action WorkoutsExecutes Tool Qualifications and may help develop test scripts for tool qualifications.All other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Associates degree in Applied Sciences  (or local equivalent 2 year degree)OR a High School diploma (or local equivalent) and 2 years technical experienceProficiency to understand and interpret basic written technical informationDemonstrated ability to work well with general direction and informationDemonstrated proficiency to utilize computerized workEffective verbal and written communication skills with teammates , management, and across functionsAbility to work in a clean room environment including wearing the required PPE for long periods of timeBeing able to sit and/or stand for long periods of timeWilling to work second shift

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Basic knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processDemonstrated experience working in quality-controlled environment, specifically FDA-regulated medical product manufacturing or another relevant environmentDemonstrated strong problem-solving / equipment troubleshooting skillsMechanical, facilities and/or maintenance experienceExperience working in a cleanroom environmentLean / Six Sigma experience

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $37,840.00-$56,760.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
