Title:                           Ethics & Compliance Intern

Reports to:                 Director, Ethics & Compliance

Location:                    Norwalk, CT strongly preferred, remote considered

Work Schedule:        M-F, Full time

About the Position

The Intern will be an integral member of Terex’s Ethics & Compliance Team, supporting all of Terex’s business units across the United States and around the world. The Intern will be exposed to a broad array of the corporate compliance matters—such as Terex’s anti-bribery and corruption program, and internal whistleblower investigations—with particular focus on supporting efforts to enhance Terex’s compliance program through the optimization of data collection and analysis.

In this role, the Intern will gain practical in-house compliance experience and develop the foundational skills necessary for a successful career as an in-house compliance specialist.

Summer internships will begin Monday, June 2, 2025 – August 15, 2025 on a 40-hour work week schedule, with potential to extend or hire​ depending on business need and individual performance.

What you'll do

Responsibilities:

Optimize collection and extraction of risk-related data from E&C initiatives

Assess and leverage data to create a heat map – a critical visual tool for user-friendly reporting of key risk metrics

Assist with creation of training materials related to Terex’s key risk areas and emerging topics

Monitor regulatory updates and assess impact on the Company’s practices

Participate in assessment of existing risk mitigation measures

Collaborate with Ethics & Compliance Team members in creation of digital tools to support Terex’s compliance program

Enhance the design of various compliance materials including export country profiles, policies, and other materials

Create compliance related marketing materials such as posters and shop floor talking point guides

Investigating and analyzing relevant laws, regulations, industry standards to ensure Terex is adhering to compliance requirements.

Other duties assigned based on the skillset of intern and prior experience.

What you'll bring

Required Qualifications:

Rising undergraduate junior or senior for the 2025-2026 academic year or graduate student (JD, MBA, etc.)

Demonstrated interest in ethical business practices and corporate compliance

Excellent English writing skills

Strong analytical and legal research skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Courses completed in data analytics

Proficient in Tableau, Power BI, or similar data analysis tools

Independent worker

Strong analytical and research skills

Strong organizational skills

Detail-oriented

Salary: The compensation for this position is $25/hr for undergraduate interns and $27/hr for graduate or returning interns. This position is not eligible for benefits.
