ETL Data Developer

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for implementation of data services and modification and enhancement of data architecture, automation and planning. It will have emphasis on ETL architecture, best practices in implementing ETLs, code reviews and setting up proof of concepts for new standards and softwares.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Implement ETL Architecture and DesignsPerform Optimizations on the existing ETLs, data flows and storage.Define best practices and standards for data integration.Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experienceImplement data services, data structure/models and data movement infrastructuresProvide and implement preventative solutions and troubleshoots data job failures, including but not limited to error handling, data manipulation and I/O processingImplement database concepts and practices, including definition and query languageModify, enhance, and influence requirements and architecture specifications of data warehousing systems and/or processing infrastructureImplement solutions with stakeholder teams to design, implement, and support end to end data solutions, across multiple platforms, environments, domains, and locationsWork closely with internal staff, vendors, consultants, and external partners to quickly identify and resolve data integrationIndependently participate in development of reporting processes, programs, and solutions as per established standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to perform in-depth and independent research and analysis with some oversight from the managerIntermediate knowledge of SQL and Python (YAML – if applicable)Intermediate knowledge of Data Tools including querying, scripting, analysis, ETL, and command line interfacesIntermediate knowledge cloud-based infrastructures and services relevant to data processing, data automation and data platform/processing troubleshooting Knowledge of Charter’s product data sources and data pipelinesAbility to apply appropriate level of data maintenance, data quality control and validation of code, tools, and models as directed Intermediate knowledge of reportingDevelopment and visualization designExperience with building use cases and providing development support to data scientists and data engineersExperience with data lake – all data sources - building out data sets for use casesExperience with building SQL databases and tablesExperience with querying and designing efficient warehousing structures

Required Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, operations research and/or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years

ETL experience – 2+ years

Experience with SQL, Shell Script, Python, JSON – 2+ years

Data integration experience – 2+ years

Data visualization experience (Tableau, Alterx, Microstrategy) – 2+ years

Data/Software engineering experience – 2+ years

The base pay for this position generally is between $88,200.00 and $156,600.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
