As an ETL Developer for the Data and Analytics team, you will work within a Professional  Services team to support our customer’s data platform on Guidewire Cloud.  You will also support the development of new tooling and methodology to streamline our data processes.
You will work with our customers, partners, and other Guidewire team members to deliver successful data migration and data integration programs utilizing our custom migration tools. You will utilize best practices for design, development and delivery of customer projects. You will share knowledge with the wider Guidewire Data and Analytics team.

Given the dynamic nature of the work in the Data and Analytics team, we are looking for decisive, highly-skilled technical problem solvers who can bring their array of experience working in previous data streaming related roles. You will cooperate closely with teams located around the world.Key Responsibilities:Deliver data access projects for customers on time and effectivelyWork with the data team to improve processes and methodologyCreate new tooling to streamline data processing when called upon or when the opportunity presents itselfSystematic problem-solving approach, coupled with a sense of ownership and driveAbility to work independently in a fast-paced Agile environmentQualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent level of demonstrable professional competency, and 5 years + in delivery type roleFamiliarity with functional programming concepts.Experience with the Scala programming language.Experience with Apache Spark for big data processing.Familiarity with data processing and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and ELT (Extract, Load, and Transform) concepts.Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databasesExperience working with different cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Google Cloud, etc.)Experience developing and deploying production REST APIs.Experience working with customer teams to understand business objectives and functional requirements.Effective leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and within a team.Flexibility to do shift work as needed (aligning to US colleagues/customers).Nice to have:Insurance industry experienceExperience with the Guidewire Data PlatformAbout Guidewire
