ETL Testing Lead
Position Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced ETL Testing Lead to join our team. This hybrid role requires you to be present at our downtown Toronto office or the client office 2 times per week (subject to change based on business needs). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ETL testing, SQL scripting, and team leadership.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Work closely with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.
• Perform functional, regression, and performance testing on ETL processes to identify and resolve defects.
• Track testing progress, document defects, and provide regular status updates to project teams and management.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.
• Provide training and support to team members on ETL testing tools and methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Conduct thorough ETL testing to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Read and write complex SQL queries to validate data transformations and migrations.
• Utilize your knowledge of SQL scripting, database structures, principles, and design theories to support testing activities.
• Leverage expertise in ETL testing tools to automate and streamline testing processes.
• Lead and mentor a Quality Engineering (QE) team of 4-6 members, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Implement automation strategies to replace manual ETL processes, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in testing files.
