DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a EU Operations Contingency Planner to play a vital role coordinating our daily warehouse and distribution requirements.

\n

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

\n

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

\n\nMonitor transport requirements on Weekly basis to ensure that there is coverage of all required loads.\nThe role enables DHL to book trailers in advance for busy periods to reduce costings for our customer and to secure trailers during busy periods.\ninvolves monitoring required collections on a weekly basis to ensure that trailers are secured to secure production for the customer and advising our Planning Team on any potential planning issues which could cause a risk to production.\nLook to challenge carriers where appropriate with any excessive costs, work with stakeholders in various departments to report problems and ensure best practises are met.\nForecasting and creating number of trailers required for Road, Rail and Sea freight.\n\n

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

\n\nLogistics & Supply Chain experience essential.\nFreight industry knowledge desired.\nPlanning experience essential.\nGood IT knowledge with MS packages.\n\n
