Weatherford have a very exciting opportunity for an experienced EUA Customs Compliance Manager to join the team in Aberdeen.

The main purpose of the EUA Customs Compliance Manager is to oversee, ensure control and advise all Weatherford facilities in respect of supply chain compliance with all applicable statutory regulations as well as company policy.

Required:

Prior working experience of Customs Procedures and Regulations.Prior working experience of Logistics Processes and Procedures.The ability to work in a team environment as well as an ability to work unsupervised.The initiative to resolve and advise on Logistics and Trade Compliance related issues.Demonstrable previous experience in Trade Compliance or related field.Previous oilfield, logistics and or customs/experience.Trade-related / cross border experience.Able to develop and lead others in a team environment.Must have good organisation skills and be able to work within strict deadlines.Must be accurate, with an eye for detail and have good communication skills.Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks.

Preferred:

Engineering/Technical or Logistics experience.Law degree and/or Customs brokerage license a plus.Strong Quality Assurance experience – with a focus on Oil and Gas Service Industry.Hands-on experience in a leadership role driving a culture of change and continuous improvement.Develop and implement logistics, customs and compliance procedures, processes and policies in line with regional and global initiatives.Completing and maintaining a Customs Risk register for each location within the Geozone and where necessary working with the appropriate management and support functions to complete any remedial actions. Monitor trade and customs compliance activities within the Geozone ensuring correct licensing and documentation are in place as required and implement corrective actions as necessary.Share best practice and streamline processes within the Geozone.Monitor and research any new and upcoming regulation changes with the Geozone and action as necessary. Ensure that all monthly statutory reporting requirements are carried out in a timely manner, including Tier 1 and Tier 2 KPIs.Facilitate the provision of training to Weatherford teams on Logistics and Customs Compliance (incoterms, CPC’s, general awareness, transportation of dangerous goods).Drive and lead in customs continuous improvement initiatives: risks reduction, cost control, lean documentation.Participate and assist in any audits as necessary, both internal and external.Participate in meetings / discussions with various internal departments to ensure suitable arrangements are in place for all Weatherford shipments locally, nationally, and internationally.Implement KPI across EUA on customs compliance and build the customs control tower reporting.Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management with the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these.
