Europe - Senior Bid Finance

Are you looking to expand your commercial experience and take on a new challenge to accelerate your career? The Europe Sales and Commercial Finance team are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to develop within the Bid Finance SSC team. Bid Finance is an integral part of our Pre-Sales organisation, offering great exposure to leadership across Europe as we model and assess the financial viability of new business and our pricing strategies in a highly competitive marketplace. 


The role gives you freedom to be a financial thought leader, working alongside experienced and diverse bid teams, responsible for constructing winning financial propositions for our customers, supporting the sales strategy and being a financial gatekeeper for our Europe business. We are looking for strong communication skills, a passion for using financials and analysis to inform stakeholders and drive business decisions. To succeed in this role, you will need to be able to build strong relationships, constructively challenge the status-quo, demonstrate commercial finance acumen, and adopt a pro-customer-oriented approach. It is a dynamic role that operates in a fast-paced sales environment, no day will be the same and you will see an acceleration in your development as you hone your soft skills and drive results with your analytical competency.


Key Activities

Alongside the bid team you will use industry experience to define the price to win, by utilize benchmarking, previous deal data, customer budgets and business case analysis. Shape deals to optimize financial outcomes for Fujitsu while ensuring pricing to customers is market aligned. Driving creative and innovative pricing and financial solutions to solve customers’ business case challenges. Support internal governance processes, ensuring all internal financial documentation is complete and accurate. Clearly articulate and present the financial business case (P&L, cash flow and other financial indicators) to our leadership team and key individuals. Responsible for completing or producing the external customer pricing documentation and ensure alignment to internal governance approval. Understand where specific technical financial issues may arise and work with the relevant experts to resolve, in line with Fujitsu policies and procedures. Ensure deals are handed over to Project & Contract Accounting team in line with the approved handover process.
 

Key Skills & Qualifications

Experience in business analytics, data manipulation and ideally financial modelling. Communication both written and verbal to manage stakeholders across all levels in the organization and subject matter experts. Strong time management with the ability to operate under pressure and coordinate support of multiple projects in parallel. Tenacity and emotional resilience to maintain focus through challenges and barriers. Attention to detail, with advanced Microsoft Excel and intermediate Microsoft PowerPoint & Word competency. Minimum 3 year of practical work experience in a finance function or similar specialist function.                 Commercial finance experience an advantage Financial Accounting experience beneficial, post graduate Finance qualification not a prerequisite.
