Purpose of job
Amazon is a global leader in sustainable transportation solutions, dedicated to advancing the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) and reducing our carbon footprint. Our state-of-the-art EV charging infrastructure continues to grow and span the globe, providing reliable and accessible charging solutions to Amazons transportation network. RME is seeking an experienced Electric Vehicle Charger Manager to recruit, develop and lead a team of specialists responsible for the remote coordination of maintenance activities across our global charging network.
Key job responsibilities
• Drive continuous improvement in EV charging operations and maintenance processes.
• Serve as the main point of escalation for complex technical issues, facilitate cross-functional meetings, and make key decisions regarding EV charging infrastructure.
• Establish and maintain rigorous quality control standards for EV charger installation, maintenance SOPs, and technical documentation.
• Implement tracking systems and KPIs to monitor EV charger uptime, utilization, maintenance costs, and overall performance metrics.
• Oversee global budgets for EV charger installation, maintenance, and repair activities, optimizing costs while ensuring high-quality service.
• Collaborate with procurement and stakeholders to establish and manage vendor contracts and SLAs for EV charging equipment and maintenance services. Maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Partner with utility companies and local authorities for power infrastructure planning and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with RME teams to implement best practices for EV charger reliability, preventive maintenance, and asset optimization across the network.
