General Summary:
The Multimedia Video & ML HW Design team at Qualcomm works on the design and development of complex IP Cores that can support cutting-edge Video CODEC Standards. We are looking for strong ASIC Design Engineers who appreciate challenging work and would be responsible for:Implementation of ML algorithmsCross-team collaboration between Hardware/Systems/Firmware to gather requirements, formulate specifications and develop the IP Cores.Development of Micro-Architecture and RTL design that meets required performance and is optimized for Area and Power.Debugging and root causing bugs caught during simulation/emulation and recommend/provide fixes.Reviewing reports for Linting, RTL Synthesis, CLP, CDC, and DV Coverage.Effective communication across teams, multitasking and well-planned execution of the tasks.Principal duties and responsibilities of this role include:
Design micro-architecture and its RTL implementation using Verilog / SystemVerilog HDLDesign and Implementation targeting power, performance, area, and timing goals.Work with Design Verification team for functional/gate level verification and code coverage.Work on tools such as Linting, Power Artist, CDC and LEVE for checking design qualityMinimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.Level of Responsibility:
• Works under supervision.
• Decision-making affects direct area of work and/or work group.
• Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey basic, routine factual information.
• Tasks consist of a limited number of steps and can be referenced using directions or manuals.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$97,000.00 - $145,000.00The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
