SHIFTS AND HOURS
We have a full-time day position available. (6:30 am to 7:00 pm) Scheduled Shifts are 12 Hours, 3 Days per week with shift differentials available Part-Time Medication Aides Shifts can be flexible according to your own schedule, great if you are completing your Nursing Course. All Full Time Medication Aides Rotate Weekend Shifts.
TRAINING AND ORIENTATION
Keystone Treatment Center is committed to Training and Safety. All New Hire Medication Aides will attend a 2 Day Facility Orientation and Patient Treatment Program Overview before spending 2 Weeks in Unit Orientation with a Preceptor. We can accommodate shadow shifts for interested candidates!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and ability in all the 12 core functions of substance abuse counseling. They must have the ability to do one on ones, give lectures, and run groups, completing assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning. Must be able to handle crisis well. Flexible multitasking necessary. The position requires the person to work flexible hours, days, some evenings and rotating weekends.
Must have the needed coursework to certify or license as an addiction counselor in the state of SD. If possible - include your transcript with your application.
Applicant must have experience working with adolescents with legal involvement and substance use issues.
Experience with juvenile probation and alternative education are preferred.
The position is a Non-Exempt (hourly), Full Time position which offers 8 paid holidays along with vacation, personal, and sick benefits. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Associate degree preferred Addiction Counselor Trainee Minimum (through the SD BAPP)
