Evening Shift Manager
**Overview** **Job Summary:** The Evening Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing custodial staff, events staff, grounds staff and ensuring that cleaning and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently during evening hours. This role involves managing personnel, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards, inspecting facilities, and addressing any issues that arise. The Manager plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized environment. **Key Responsibilities:** **Team Supervision & Leadership** + Manage and oversee the custodial staff during the evening shift. + Assign duties, monitor work progress, and ensure tasks are completed on time. + Provide training and guidance on proper cleaning techniques, equipment use, and safety procedures. + Conduct performance evaluations and address any staff concerns. **Cleaning & Facility Maintenance** + Ensure all assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas, are cleaned and maintained to company standards. + Inspect facilities regularly to ensure cleanliness and compliance with safety regulations. + Oversee the proper handling and disposal of waste and hazardous materials. **Safety & Compliance** + Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. + Conduct routine inspections to identify and address any hazards. + Train staff on proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment to prevent accidents. + Maintain records of safety incidents and implement corrective actions. **Inventory & Equipment Management** + Monitor and maintain an adequate inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment. + Ensure equipment is properly maintained, stored, and repaired as needed. + Order necessary supplies and track expenses to stay within budget. **Communication & Coordination** + Serve as the primary point of contact for custodial operations during the evening shift. + Coordinate with facility managers and other departments to address cleaning and maintenance needs. + Report issues, damages, or necessary repairs to upper management. **Qualifications & Skills:** + Proven experience as a Custodial Manager, Supervisor, or similar role. + Strong leadership and organizational skills. + Knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and safety protocols. + Ability to manage a team and resolve conflicts effectively. + Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask. + Proficiency in record-keeping and scheduling. + Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods. **Education & Experience:** + High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Business, or related field is a plus). + 2+ years of experience in custodial or janitorial management. + Familiarity with OSHA regulations and cleaning industry standards. **Work Environment:** + Evening shift schedule, including potential weekends and holidays. + Physically demanding role requiring frequent standing, lifting, and movement. + Exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment. **Compensation:** $68,000 annual salary (US Dollars) The pay listed is the salary range for this position.
