Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma- Oklahoma City, OK Monday-Friday 1400-2230 rotating weekends
Essential Functions of Employment with DLO:
• Show up for work, on time & prepared each and every scheduled work day
• Perform all tasks and processes assigned to you including all tasks and processes you are fully qualified to perform and all tasks and processing that you may be over-qualified to perform
• Maintain a positive and supportive attitude throughout each and every scheduled work day & work as a collaborative team member with your fellow teammates on a daily basis
Main Duties: Assists professional staff in routine technical tasks such as: specimen processing and send outs. Other duties to include filing, temperature checks, centrifuge maintenance, stocking supplies, answering telephone calls, entering orders, storing specimens, etc. Receives specimens into the laboratory using Cerner, QLS, IDAA, Quanum LIS systems and utilizes Instrument Manager for storing specimens. Follow employer policies; work with fellow employees in a professional, productive manner.
Required Knowledge: Good computer skills, customer service skills, knowledge of medical terminology.
Required Experience: High School/GED; previous laboratory experience preferred.
Special Requirements: Ability to maintain a professional, courteous and pleasant attitude in times of heavy workload and stress. Teamwork with fellow employees is a must. Keyboard skills are important. Good customer service skills, professional appearance and attitude. Able to work any day including weekend and holidays; able to flex hours and work overtime for other shifts as needed. Perform all tasks and processes assigned by your immediate supervisor including all tasks and processes you are fully qualified to perform and all tasks and processes assigned that you may be over-qualified to perform. Perform the previous two job duties/functions as a collaborative member of your work team and with a personal disposition that is positive and
supportive of your fellow team members.
